Air Duct Relocation and Optimization

Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) piping presents a challenge for anyone finishing their basement. Many contractors won’t tell you but will charge you extra for each “box” they have to build around a duct hump going around a steel I-beam. This routing is quite typical for modern day home construction as it lowers construction costs for builders by reducing the time it takes to build the home.

In addition, many people spend too much on costly monthly heating and/or cooling bills to heat up or cool off a room that is farthest away from the furnace unit. Depending on the layout of your basement ducting, beams and floor joists, we will route the new ducting over beams, in between joists or through joists with proper structural reinforcement and/or design. We will then seal off your system to eliminate leaks and ensure the air is going to the rooms in your home where you need it most!
